Homeschoolers have a wonderful opportunity for the world in a way, sitting at a desk can never explore. A practical approach to mathematics helps a child learns not only the concept, but really understand.
In our house we have just started a new math skills: order. So, to prepare for these lessons, I planned a couple of art projects, some games and ordered a couple of really good books.

I've always enjoyed teaching the concepts with the history of mathematics. It 's something that triggers an understanding that you can have an experience in it. Maybe things word books better than me. Maybe it's the photo. Or maybe it's because the stories always have an influence on children. It is probably actually make the connection with the characters guys.

Game # 1:
Do you have toys in various sizes. There are stuffed animals. Children put them in order from highest shorter and therefore the higher the shorter. Keywords: Short, shorter, shortest, tall, taller,higher.
Game # 2:
You must Devices (plastic plug or wooden blocks, stacking blocks will do). Create a series of towers where each tower is larger or smaller than the next. Children love to build stairs, this would also work. Keywords: Short, shorter, shortest, highest, higher, higher.
Game # 3:

Art Project No. 1:
You will need glue, construction paper and twine. I cut the cord through customs (ie, 1 inch, 2 inch, 3 inches, etc.) until I was 8 strings for each child.
